What is it with this new fad of rolling up your trouser cuffs and wearing dress shoes without socks?
Who comes up with these idiotic looks? Even on the runway they look like they forgot to finish getting dressed.
I just cannot bring myself to start wearing my brogues without socks, nor start rolling up my jeans/trousers, regardless of how “fashionable” we’re told it is.
Besides looking ridiculous, there’s a practical aspect here that is being ignored. Would you wear a pair of $400 Prada or Church brogues without socks even if you’re one of the lucky ones like me who don’t get sweaty feet? I’m damn sure I wouldn’t! Sure, you could potentially put on a pair of invisible foot stockings, but that’s never mentioned in the lookbooks or fashion blurbs. Besides, I’m not sure if nylon foot stockings would be good for someone who suffered from stinky feet.
I just think it looks stupid.

haha i love how you ended your post! But I was thinking the same thing if they make some sort of footies for men like they do for women? Most women wear tiny footies in their shoes and they are made to not show outside of your shoe. They come in different materials and I like the see through Nylon ones. They actually contain the stinky feet to a great extent. I guess this entails some google search online when I get home from work lol

It’s good to know that I’m not the only one who has an issue with Mr Bean becoming a style icon. I’ve worn those little nylon footies myself with boat shoes. I really don’t like having my feet bare in a pair of shoes.
