Yes.
Another scrumptious way to deliver the heavenly vegetable of the garlic variety?
Oh, yes indeed.

A horse
One horse’s lifelong quest to grow up and become a hamburger… Hang on.. That’s real life.
I was wondering why it had taken me so long to watch this epic from Steven Spielberg.
Now I know.
Hour #1: Highlights a poor country boy’s need to get laid. Something happened in that barn that didn’t make the final cut.
Hour #2: The horse has encounters with various families and people. He meets the president, plays ping pong, goes to war, runs around for a while, starts a shrimp farm.. No wait.. Wrong movie. Easy to get mixed up. This was basically Forrest Gump on four legs without the annoying voice.
Hour #3: Twenty five minutes of wrapping everything up nicely, so everyone can live happily ever after.
I’m feeling generous today, so I’m giving this one gerbil.

Wow.
I must admit I had a small amount of trepidation going here as I’m not a fan of other Neil Perry establishments, nor would I choose Chinese as a fine dining cuisine.
I stand converted.
We enjoyed a birthday dinner here with a friend and every dish was a stand out success.
We started with the hot & numbing dried wagyu beef and the crispy quail.
The beef was definitely hot, with a couple of closed throat moments, but delicious nonetheless. The quail was perfectly crisp, and covered in a spicy red bean curd. What a start!
The mains then took us up another level with a black bean beef fillet, and my favourite, the whole steamed snapper with salted chilli. I would venture that this may well have been the tastiest fish dish I have ever been served in a restaurant. Amazing!
We finished with delightfully soft and tasty passionfruit marshmallows and THE most incredible mango pudding I’ve ever had.
Pricy? Yes.
Worth it? Every. single. bite.
Return? You bet your sweet ass I will!

I put the call out recently to find a guest writer or three for shoesmaketheman.com.au
Not because I was getting lazy, you see.
I just wanted to give someone the chance to follow in my ridiculously fabulous and fashionable footsteps.
Am I not just delightful? Wonderful? God like, even?
Well, enough about me.
The first contributor stepped up to the plate, and sent their post through.
Far be it from me to criticise, I casually mentioned that the first effort needed a bit of fleshing out, perhaps even with a small mention of yours truly. You know, to keep it classy.
So, without further ado…
Hi All,
I’m Sonia and Mike has very generously allowed me to be a guest writer for the day.

While my compadre likes to whore himself around many designers, my obsession is monogamous and lays with just one – John Fluevog.

The love affair started about 3 years ago when I stumbled across a pair on Ebay.

The textures, the curves, the cheeky mary jane straps, and oh the purpleness!

I paid more for the shoes than I had paid for any others at that time and fell madly in love as soon as they were in my possession.
Mike
Since then they have been joined by several other pairs from the Fluevog family but remain to this day my favourite pair of shoes.

Did I make enough mention of you, Mike?
Hmmm.
Not bad, I suppose…..

If ever there was an argument for not letting sheep grow up (besides the danger of them joining a sheep gang and tipping cows just for laaaaaughs), this is it.
Sticky, sweet, hot, fatty and gorgeously crispy lamb ribs.
Tiny little things, but oh so very tasty!
I swear I stood in the kitchen when these came out of the oven and ate them straight out of the baking dish.
It was all I could do to put a few on a plate for a photo before polishing them all off.
Heaven.
